2021 K1 Pinot Noir

Story: 5 clones of Pinot Noir are grown on the K1 vineyard, these are processed separately then stored in oak. As the season affects each clone differently, keeping them separate allows only the best barrels to be selected for this wine.

Vintage: 2021 will be one for the record books in more than one way but as far as vineyards across South Australia are concerned it was near perfect. Higher than average rainfall over winter allowed vines to produce good canopy and the cool – dry summer gave us beautiful even ripening conditions. This slow ripening allows great flavour development and retention of natural acidity.   

Nose: The K1 Pinot Noir exhibits attractive aromas of Red Cherries, strawberry, vanilla and thyme.

Palate: On the palate you will find notes of caramel, vanilla, cherry, rose petal and bath salts.
