90pts - It's splendidly ripe and fragrant on the nose with aromas of dark plum, sweet cherry, olive, clove, and toasted nuts. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity with supple texture and finely pitched tannins, finishing silky and flavoursome. At its best: now to 2028. Sam Kim - Wine Orbit Aug2025

Adelaide Hills

Story: The Middle Hill Shiraz is sourced from the middle hill of the K1 vineyard, a picturesque sandstone ridge producing elegant, spicy, cool climate style Shiraz.

Vintage: 2022 Higher than average rainfall over winter followed by a warm and dry spring resulting in even budburst and a textbook start for the vintage. A cool but relatively dry summer gave us beautiful ripening conditions. This slow ripening allows great flavour development and retention of natural acidity.

Nose: Aromatic spice leads the way, layered with fragrant lavender and the warm, woody notes of cedar. Together, they create an inviting and complex bouquet.

Palate: Flavours of red liquorice and ripe plum intertwine with earthy undertones, fresh mint, and lemon thyme. A gentle lift of black pepper adds savoury intrigue, while fine tannins and balanced acidity guide the wine to a long, satisfying finish.

Pairing: Middle Hill Shiraz pairs perfectly with a classic homemade spaghetti bolognese. The wine's rich fruit and subtle spice complement the savoury slow-cooked sauce, while its smooth tannins balance the richness of the meat, creating a comforting and satisfying combination any night of the week.
