Story: Planted in the ancient soils of the K1 Vineyard, Gruner Veltliner has found a new home in the cool southern Adelaide Hills where it produces exceptional white wines that capture both the old-world essence of Austria and the modern vibrancy and clarity of Australia.

Vintage:  The 2023 vintage was very cool and very even in temperature, so we were able to harvest each variety in its perfect window of premium ripeness for the intended wine styles. This was the third cool year in a row and the fruit flavours across the board were exceptional.  

Nose: The nose displays the varietal savouriness akin to in-season root vegetables (think parsnips, swede, turnip) along with celery seed and spice. aromas of Nashi Pear and citrus compliment. 

Palate: The palate offers a beautifully rich mouthful of white stonefruit flavours with a refreshing, crisp and citrus finish. 20%­barrel ferment with partial malolactic fermentation adds weight, complexity, and texture.

Pairing: This wine pairs particularly well with Thai Beef salads loaded with bean shoots, coriander, mint and sweet chilli dressing. Click For Recipe
