Story: The name Sangiovese comes from a Latin term meaning 'the blood of Jove', fueling theories it has been around since Roman times. It is best known as the main grape in Tuscany's Chianti wine region.
Vintage: The 2023 vintage was very cool and very even in temperature, so we were able to harvest each variety in its perfect window of premium ripeness for the intended wine styles. This was the third cool year in a row and the fruit flavours across the board were exceptional.
Nose: The nose is beautifully vibrant with enticing aromas of red currant supported by hints of coffee, spice and dried herbs.
Palate: The palate is medium body with great depth of flavor. Primary flavors of fresh cherries and raspberries, oregano, thyme and dried roses.
Food Pairings: Try this wine with veal saltimbocca with prosciutto and sage.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2031
