2024 K1 Gruner Veltliner

Story: Planted in the ancient soils of the K1 Vineyard, Gruner Veltliner has found a new home in the cool southern Adelaide Hills where it produces exceptional white wines that capture both the old-world essence of Austria and the modern vibrancy and clarity of Australia.

Vintage: The 2024 vintage was very cool and very even in temperature, so we were able to harvest each variety in its perfect window of premium ripeness for the intended wine styles. This was the third cool year in a row and the fruit flavours across the board were exceptional.

Nose: On the nose you will find scents like; jasmine, mandarin, pear, citrus blossom, white stonefruit and grapefruit with hints of celery and pepper.

Palate: When you taste it, you'll get citrus and mandarin flavours with hints of celery seed and savory spice. The wine has good acidity and a textured feel, making it well-rounded. It also had 20% skin contact during production, which adds to its unique character.
