Story: Planted in the ancient soils of the K1 Vineyard, Gruner Veltliner has found a new home in the cool southern Adelaide Hills where it produces exceptional white wines that capture both the old-world essence of Austria and the modern vibrancy and clarity of Australia.

Vintage: 2022 Higher than average rainfall over winter followed by a warm and dry spring resulting in even budburst and a textbook start for the vintage. A cool but relatively dry summer gave us beautiful even ripening conditions. This slow ripening allows great flavour development and retention of natural acidity.   

Nose: Aromas of exotic nashi pear and spices lift from the glass with hints of lemon blossom, citrus rind and jasmine.

Palate: The palate showcases a beautiful linear acid profile with hints of lemon balm, white nectarine and pink lady apple. With 20% skin contact for 10 days, this wine achieves a pure variety expression, providing a unique and well-defined tasting experience.

Pairing: This wine pairs particularly well with Thai Beef salad.
