Story: The name Sangiovese come from a Latin term meaning 'the blood of Jove', fueling theories it has been around since Roman times. It is best know as the main grape in Tuscany's Chianti wine region.

Nose: The nose is beautifully vibrant with enticing aromas of red currant supported by hints of coffee, spice and dried herbs.

Palate: The palate is medium body with great depth of flavor. Primary flavors of fresh cherries and raspberries, oregano, thyme and dried roses.

Food Pairings: Try this wine with veal saltimbocca with prosciutto and sage.
