Story: The K1 Shiraz reflects the generosity of the K1 vineyard ‘terroir’ on the Shiraz variety.

Vintage: 2014 was a challenging vintage, but it was very interesting to see the vines’ methodical reactions to make use of whatever was thrown at them.  We were lucky with the timing of the heat and rain - the grapes were still early enough in their ripening cycle to not be hugely affected by the heat and then the rain in mid-February provided a well-earned reprieve.

Nose: The K1 Shiraz 2014 exhibits complex aromas of plums, raspberries and candied orange with spicy notes of white pepper and cloves. 

Palate: Notes of plums, raspberries and dried apricots are complemented by white pepper spice on the elegant palate, which is well balanced with a mix of quality French and American oak and silken tannins.
