K1 Cabernet Merlot

Adelaide Hills

Story: In 1986 Adelaide Hills Geoff Hardy planted out his K1 vineyard in the Kuitpo region of the Adelaide Hills with a focus on growing premium fruit that expresses our unique home. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were among the first varieties planted, and have consistently proved how well suited these varieties are to the cool climate of our site.

Nose: The Cabernet Merlot greets the senses with a nose filled with enticing aromas of blackberries, bay leaf, blackcurrant, rosemary, mulberries, and a hint of nori seaweed.

Palate: On the palate, it showcases flavours of blackcurrant, mint, mulberries, earthy notes with a touch of spice, and a subtle presence of rosemary and roasted bell peppers. This medium-bodied wine offers great structure, making for a satisfying tasting experience.

Pairing: Indulge in the rich, full-bodied character of Cabernet Merlot with a slow-cooked beef ragù served over tagliatelle.
